When to find the best sales

So we all know that sales are the best ways to save money. We've all heard of Black Friday but when else can we save money during the year?

1. January is the time for big sales

It's self-explanatory really. After christmas people aren't buying gifts so items are put in sales. These sales are online and in-store.

Through some research, I've found that more expensive items have the best sales. Especially second hand electronics (because people cash in their old things when they get new).

Items such as cameras, sat navs, kettles, toasters, printers, DVD players etc.

2. February believe it or not is the time for ...

Appliances?!

(^^ Sorry couldn't resist this little guy's too cute!)

Yeah that's right. Washing machines, dryers, fridges, freezers and dishwashers are the things to get in February!

NOTE: To avoid breakup, wouldn't recommend this as a Valentine's Day gift though ;)

3. In March (as well as June, September and December) poor salespeople are on a mission to reach their targets.

Salespeople are under pressure to reach their targets so this is the best time to negotiate if you're looking to buy a new, or second hand car.

This is confirmed by National Franchised Dealers Association. In their "New Car Sales Figures," of 2014. March sales are the heighest from the whole year with 464,824 cars, followed by September at 425,861 cars, June at 228,291 cars and lastly December at 166,198 cars.

See? I didn't lie!

4. In April, we naturally have Easter so that means DIY! Of course?

No, don't worry I can't find the link either, but apparently it's true and I'm not sure why either.

"Retail sales rose in April [2014]as shoppers splashed out on home and DIY products after two months of consecutive decline."

The Independent can't lie right?

5. In May now here it's obvious right?

My favourite "sales-month!" After every major event in the year, sales always follows as you might've been able to tell by the amount of people buying and setting off fireworks after November 5th.

Well, the month after Easter you can imagine what's in sale? CHOCOLATE!

These will be shown by the yellow stickers which you'll find especially on easter eggs e.g. Creme Eggs or Mini Eggs.

6. June is the time when we're half way through the year

As it's the middle of the year, it means the latest TVs and phones are often launched. Although not specifically a sale, it'll mean that older versions will be at a more reasonable price, so keep a look out in June if there's a certain TV that catches your eye!

7. July is the time for *type type type*

I guess it makes sense that laptops are cheaper: people buying before the "back-to-school," rush. According to Evan Kypreos from Trusted Reviews this is because (and this seems to be a recurring theme) they're sold cheaper in the run up to new product that launches in August/September.

8. August time for SUMMER!

If you have a child then it seems obvious really:uniform. End August/early September is the best time to get the last deals before they take it out of stock.

Anything that can be related to school is normally in sales including stationary and even office furniture e.g. desk chairs.

9. September is the time for... well you don't get time anymore :(

Like we mentioned before, cars are on sale, but something that can be as luxurious is also on sale in September: holidays!

With travel agents and holiday destinations assuming most people in this world have children, they lower their prices as they assume families will now be re-settled into family life. So book time off work now to go on holiday because there will normally be deals as well as cheap(er) flights.

10. October is the time for halloween *oooooh*

End of September/beginning of October is the best time for getting reduced summer clothes. They're normally "out of fashion" by next Summer and people won't be buying them to wear them anytime soon so shops reduce them dramatically.

(Can I just say stylishwife.com I love this outfit ensemble!)

11. November time for bonfires, fireworks, cheap halloween left-overs and.....

Enough said.

12. CHRISTMAS TIMEEEEE

It's difficult to put specify a product for December. All shops whether in catalogues, online or instore all have their separate vouchers/discounts/offers.

They're desperate for us to spend in time for prezzie-giving so it's just a matter of keeping an eye out unfortunately.

Hope this was useful and that there was new information for you.

Don't forget tomorrow is Black Friday so now's the best time to get awesome deals!
