How to claim up to £540 on delayed flights
Following on from my post about saving money on transport, I thought I'd introduce you to a way you can claim back money on delayed flights through a website appropriately called "Delayed Again."
We've all heard of flights being delayed along with the hassle, stress and fatigue it can cause, but, unlike with train journeys, we don't hear much about the possibility of claiming money on delayed flights.
Delayed Again, is a UK based service that helps unfortunate holiday goers get some compensation on delayed flights. They're a professional company composed of expert advisers and a legal team, all there to help you get money back under the EU law EC261/2004 (see more about this below).
One of the main reasons why people are reluctant to make claims is how lengthy the process is or that they have a lack of knowledge on the subject... Delayed Again is dedicated to helping you with all of that; they do all the legal work and negotiations with airlines so you don't have to.
To put your mind at rest, I really do think they have your best interests at heart because they work tirelessly for you yet you don't have to pay an initial fee and there's also a "no win, no fee policy" so you can only benefit from interacting with them really; nothing to lose.
As a result, I would really recommend making an enquiry to them if you have experienced a flight delay and see if you could receive some compensation for that.
If this sounds like one of your flights I would definitely recommend talking to them! (These are the conditions under the EU rule so it's more than certain that you have a good chance in your claim). - To claim, the flight must have departed from an EU airport (regardless of airline) or where an EU airline has landed in an EU airport.
- The flight must have been delayed by more than 3 hours, or cancelled, within the last six years.
- If a flight has been re-routed or the passenger has been denied boarding, then these could also be valid claims for compensation.
I hope some of you can find some solace from that annoying delayed flight via this website, and I'd love to hear if you have any success stories with Delayed Again.
All the best,
The Frugal Teen x
